Turning down the heating makes you thinner!

Okay, so it's not as simple as nudging the thermostat down a notch and sitting back with an industrial size tub of Ben & Jerry's while the pounds drop off - but it's not far off. To put it in simply, colder temperatures make your body burn more calories to keep you warm. By dropping the temperature of your bedroom to 18 degrees or lower, you could go from burning 20 calories an hour, to burning up to 60 calories an hour -- all while you're fast asleep! What's more, you'll doze off quicker, sleep deeper and will have a damn good reason to demand some external body heat!
